The Founder and Creative Director of URBN cobyre’s love of art inspires her creativity. An African youth, a friendly and vibrant energy expressed through various creative expressions. The manifestation of these visions gave birth to an obsession with creating products that are comfortable and positive experiences that will leave people feeling good.
FOUNDERS PHILOSOPHY
My personal experience of losing my mother as a teenager inspires my belief in the philosophy that crisis builds resilience. It has always been my dream to own a fashion label. The big dream was to meet multi-million dollar investors and start on a large scale, but year after year it felt like procrastination. Then I realized that with that mindset, I might not be able to achieve my dream. The thought of not living that dream was so terrifying that the idea ‘START NOW’ with whatever resources you have at hand came to mind and I ran with it. I believe that with a strong will and consistent drive, the human being is capable of achieving success even after multiple encounters with failure.
